Event management is once again being handled by Blip Active, ably assisted by members, family and friends of Withernsea Harriers.

About the Withernsea 5 Mile & 3km fun run

The Harriers' annual open race has grown from humble beginnings in 2007 into a popular summer fixture. The popularity was not only due to the fresh sea air and friendly, laid back feel of the event but the promise of free fish and chips to all finishers certainly helped. Sadly, the inevitable happened and we are unable to continue our unique giveaway but we are looking at the possibility of an alternative this year.

The 5 mile race consists of an out and back route along the promenade with a loop around the village of Hollym. With the start and finish in the centre of Withernsea promenade it is great for bringing the family for a seaside outing.
The route is mainly flat with just one undulation [not enough to call it a hill].
​
The 3km fun run has the same start and finish as the main race but loops around Seacroft Road, Queen Street, Holmpton Road, Turner Ave and Oak Avenue before returning to the promenade.
